Pinch Provider Spotlight: Hannah

What is your background as a clinician?

I started nursing in the Emergency room in Rockford as an intern while I was finishing my undergraduate degree. Once I graduated I moved to the suburbs and completed a nurse residency program while working in both the ICU and ER. During my residency we worked to help develop evidence based practice initiatives across the health system. After working in both the ED and ICU for awhile I found my passion really aligned with caring for trauma patients, I moved full time into the ER where I served as a preceptor, educator, emergency communications radio nurse, trauma nurse, charge nurse, and eventually sat for my BCEN certification and am a certified emergency nurse (CEN). When that all got boring I decided to complete my masters degree and completed that with a focus in family medicine which has allowed me to care for the entire lifespan. I currently work in the emergency room as an NP full-time when I’m not working with Pinch.

What is a fun fact about yourself?

I’m a boy mom, and I love to travel!

What made you want to start a career in Aesthetics?

When I was a teenager, and even into early adulthood I struggled with really severe acne. I saw provider after provider with minimal improvement, until I finally saw another Dermatology NP, who helped me fix my skin, and it’s now not only a passion of mine but a way for me to help other patients going through the same things I did. I love getting to relate to them on a personal level.

Why did you join Pinch?

Pinch is an amazing company with so much potential. The biggest thing for me is the ability to sit with my clients in their home and take as much time with them as they need. I can spend time educating them, helping them make informed decisions, and really make sure they’re comfortable before consenting to a procedure or treatment.

Where are you based, and what areas do you service?

I live in Cary, Illinois. I currently serve clients as far west as Rockford (my hometown) and also travel downtown for several clients as well.

What is your favorite treatment? Treatment area?

For me personally, I have seen so so much improvement in my skin from the chemical peels pinch offers, specifically the BioRe Peel.

What are your favorite skincare products?

I personally use AN Skin and beauty, a medical grade skincare line.  My daily staples include a good cleanser, toner, serum, moisturizer, and spf!

What is your number 1 skincare tip?

BE CONSISTENT!! Great results take time, and patience.

What is the biggest misconception you think people have about injectable aesthetics?

I think people are worried that they’ll look “fake” or that everyone will be able to tell. A good injector makes sure results are subtle, natural, and knows how to make sure their patients are comfortable as well as sets realistic expectations. When this communication and education piece is met we see better outcomes and more comfortable happy patients.

What is one skincare item that you could not live without?

Dr. Lara Devgan’s Hyaluronic acid serum aka glass skin
